I love seeking out new places to eat, finding that mom and pop restaurant just off the beaten path...those little places that only the locals know about, with the kind of food that requires no commercial advertising...only word of mouth. These types of places are a dime a dozen. The big chains spend millions trying to convince us to eat their food. Meanwhile, that little hole in the wall establishment down the street has customers packed in like sardines without the use of coupons or gimmicks. If I could go back in time and do it all over again, I probably would have went to culinary school. I love food! It amazes me how ten different people can take the same exact ingredients and come up with ten totally different things. They all may be spectacular, then again, only one of them might be worth eating. Barbeque is a good example of that. There is so much more to food than just ingredients. It's like an art. And, if you are passionate about what you cook, others are going to love it as well! ^ |
